Type the name of your baseline:

Now select updates you want to apply. Here, my Hyper-V host OS is Windows Server 2016:

vmm7

Next, you can select the assignment scope. On which Hyper-V hosts the baseline will be applied:

vmm8

Click Next. Note the “View Script” button which is for PowerShell Addict! VMM gives you the PowerShell code to perform this task using PowerShell.

vmm9

Click finish to create the baseline.

Hyper-V Host Compliance

Your baseline is ready. Now let’s examine the Host’s compliance.

Navigate to: Fabric -> All Hosts and select your host.

vmm10

Here, we can see the new baseline previously created in “Unknown” state because no scan have been performed yet. Right click on your host and select “Scan“.

vmm11

After scanning my host, VMM indicates “Non compliant“.

vmm12

Now, right click on the Hyper-V and select “Remediate

vmm13

In the new dialog box, click “Remediate” to patch the host.
